Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision is extremely important in the psychotherapy and counselling professions for trainees, newly qualified practitioners and experienced and/or accredited therapists.

In the interests of clients and therapists alike, most professional bodies for psychotherapy and counselling (e.g. COSCA, BABCP, HCPC, UKCP, BACP etc.) require members to incorporate regular Clinical Supervision into their clinical practice.

Clinical Supervision is a professional service, rather than a managerial role. It involves attending sessions with a fellow, professional practitioner who has sufficient training, knowledge and experience to support you in your work with clients, discuss professional development and explore personal issues too, if necessary.

More Information

PLEASE NOTE: we will start offering Clinical Supervision services in Spring 2018 .

There is now an expectation that therapists engage in regular Clinical Supervision to develop and maintain high standards of clinical and professional practice.

  • We currently provide Clinical Supervision to both trainee and qualified/accredited therapists.
  • Appointments are arranged by you and your Associate Clinical Supervisor and last 50-55 minutes.
  • Appointments are paid in cash at the end of the session.
  • Takes place at our office in Glasgow city centre.
  • We work with independent Associates to offer professional Clinical Supervision at affordable prices. See Price List here for current rates:
  • Associate Clinical Supervisors are independent (i.e. not employed by us). However, we require Associates to complete application forms, attend interviews and provide references. They are fully qualified therapists with current PVGs, training in Clinical Supervision, professional memberships and who engage in ongoing CPD.
  • If you need to cancel your appointment, please provide your Associate Clinical Supervisor with at least 48 hours notice (otherwise full payment of the fee will be required). If you cannot attend because of an emergency, please let your Associate Clinical Supervisor know as soon as possible. In the event of an emergency, the fee will be waived, although the £15 room hire fee will still have to be paid by you.
  • Please get in touch if you have any questions or require any further information.
